Description
This patient in his 50s had more subtle requests for his nose. In his before photo you can notice a few things. First, he has a slight dorsal hump. Second, his tip is slightly wide. Third, the tip of his nose is ptotic (droopy) as the ideal male nose should have about a 90 degree angle between the lip and nose. He underwent what is referred to as a finesse rhinoplasty with a 1 mm hump reduction, a caudal septal extension graft combined with a tongue in groove to lift the nose anteriorly, and intra and interdomal sutures to narrow his nose slightly. In the after photo you can see how his hump is gone, his nose has been rotated up, and the tip is slightly smaller yet he maintains a masculine nose that is proportional to his face.
