Rhinoplasty Case 4

Gender
Female

Description

This patient in her mid 30s had a previous rhinoplasty about 13 years prior. One of the grafts used at her first surgery was causing a clicking of her nose. In addition, her nose was a little droopy (ptotic) and deviated to the left side. She underwent a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Guy. This involved removal of her previously place columellar strut graft that was causing clicking, placement of a right spreader graft to straighten the nose, placement of a right side to end caudal septal extension graft to help the deviated caudal septum and support the nose, and a tongue in groove technique to lift the nasal tip on the newly placed caudal septal extension graft. In the after photos you can see how her nose is straighter, slightly elevated, the nostrils are more symmetric, and her clicking sensation is gone. She is clearly very happy with these results.
