Osteoma Removal Case 2

Gender
Female
Age
40's

Description

This patient in her 40s had been bothered by a bump on her forehead. On exam, it was determined that it was an osteoma. This is most easily determined by rolling the skin over the bump. If the skin glides smoothly over the mass, and the mass remains fixed to the underlying bone, then it most likely is an osteoma. This is a benign, bony growth. The patient underwent a 15-minute procedure to remove the growth. In the after photo you can see how the contour of her forehead is now smooth and even.
