This lovely patient in her 50s was bothered by her jowls. She was in great shape but had noticed that her cheeks were dropping creating jowls and a poorly defined jawline. She also had neckbands that were subtle but present. She underwent a cheek and neck lift, frequently called a lower facelift, and platysmal myectomy. In the before photos, especially the lateral view, you can see how heavy her jowls were and how prominent her marionette lines were. In the after view you can see how smooth her jawline is and how her jowls are gone. The platsymal band is also gone. The after photo is one year out from her surgery.
