This patient in his early 40s has always felt he had a double chin. No matter much exercise and dieting he did, the area below the chin remained full. Dr. Guy performed a submentoplasty. This is a deep neck structural procedure which uses a small incision below the chin to remove the excess fat and sculpt the muscles. It is performed in the office under local anesthesia and avoids any incisions around the ears. It is an excellent option for younger patients who don’t have excess skin.
