Earwell & Otoplasty Case 10

Gender
Female

Description

This patient had what is called a Stahl’s ear. It is sometimes referred to as a Spock ear based on the Star Trek character. This type of ear is usually more pointy and it has an extra fold of cartilage going to the edge of the ear more towards the side than normal. This is clearly seen in this before photo. In the after photo you can see how the extra fold of cartilage is now gone, the ear is less pointy, and there is a normal-appearing rim of the ear. This was all accomplished surgically using theEarWell® system.
