Microneedling (Morpheus8)

Microneedling is a technique that is designed to improve the contour of the skin with less downtime compared to more traditional skin resurfacing. It uses a series of small needles to irritate the skin and stimulate collagen growth after the application of topical anesthesia. The drawback with traditional microneedling is that although there is little downtime, there was little benefit. To get around this the needles would be inserted more deeply which caused more discomfort and the downtime was more in line with that of the gold standards for facial resurfacing but with less of a result. This is why radiofrequency has now been added to still allow for less downtime but with results that are closer to that of lasers and chemical peels. Dr. Guy offers the Morpheus 8 which combines microneedling with radiofrequency. This can also be combined with our FaceTite as Embrace RF to get even more drastic results more comparable to that of surgery. And as is true with our other treatments, Dr. Guy performs all of the treatments to achieve maximum results. Microneedling with RF can be used to help with subcutaneous fat, acne scarring, skin discoloration, poorly healed scars, depressed scars, and to help restore more of a luster to the skin.

Dr. Guy has expertise with all methods of skin resurfacing as well as newer technologies that are less invasive, and he can discuss them with you during a consultation.
