Skin Cancer Before and After

This patient is 3 weeks out following removal of a skin cancer from his left temple.  He had a non healing ulcer for the previous few months, which is a classic sign for a skin cancer.  Dr. Guy recommended removal and the pathology confirmed squamous cell carcinoma, the second most common type of skin cancer.  As you can see in the middle picture, the cancer is completely gone and has been replaced by a fine scar.  As you can see in the picture on the right, when he raises his eyebrow the incision blends right into the natural creases of his forehead.  As the wound heals, the scar will be nearly imperceptible.
