This patient in her 30s had an earring pull through several years prior. This pull through went on to develop a keloid scar. In the before picture you can clearly see the keloid scar pulling down on her earlobe. The after photo is 3 months following her surgery combined with monthly Kenalog injections. In the after photo there is no evidence of keloid recurrence, and the healing incision remains soft. The incision does remain slightly lighter in color than the surrounding skin, which will improve over the course of the year and is part of the natural healing process. This demonstrates two of the treatment options available for keloid scars.
